Team Workshop Helps National FFA Organization with BC/DR Plan Building

NEED: Like so many organizations, the events of September 11, 2001 made the Executive Team of the National FFA Organization realize they needed to be prepared -- for just about anything. Over the next few months, teams were assembled, experts interviewed and time was invested. The Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Team had compiled volumes of data and documents, but they still had no plan.

SOLUTION: After a series of fact-gathering interviews, Tom Kapostasy had the 12 members of the FFA BC/DR Team attend a FrameworkIT Corporate Workshop. It was his hope that with all 12 members in one room for a full day, a common language, methodology, and team-building experience would provide the knowledge and tools needed to accomplish the task at hand. Once  in the Workshop, the FFA Team discovered that while they had a clear objective and examples of other organization's final plans, a step-by-step process for BC/DR Plan building would be a tremendous help. Using the FrameworkIT BC/DR Plan Building Blueprint, the FFA could accomplish the goal that had eluded them.
